Children on the Philippine island of Mindanao have grown up in a region where violent guerrilla warfare and a struggle for Islamic domination is normal. They often live in incredibly isolated villages which require several days’ journey over difficult mountain terrain to reach. They live in impoverished conditions and face continual risk of attack by Muslim rebel groups.

These children need to know that they haven’t been forgotten. They need a reason to smile.

This year, we want Christmas to be extra special for the children of Mindanao. We will provide a gift of a back pack containing a toy, crayons, colouring books, a t-shirt, soap, bed sheet, towel, toothbrush, shampoo, pens, notebooks and noodles ─ to over 4000 children.
