In Cairo, Egypt’s capital, the Zabaleen people are the traditional garbage collectors for the city, providing a great solution to the problem of accumulated waste by collecting and recycling it every day. This job helps to provide them with a meagre income, as many families live in poverty. Unfortunately, children are unavoidably vulnerable victims of hardship. This year, Aid Distribution International is delivering Christmas Care packs to Zabaleen children in Cairo.
Each pack contains school stationery, toiletries, story books, a snack, a blanket and a school bag.
