Children on the Philippine island of Mindanao have grown up in a region where violent guerrilla warfare and a struggle for control are normal. They often live in remote villages that take several days to reach over difficult mountain terrain, in impoverished conditions and under continual risk of attack.
These children need to know that they haven’t been forgotten. They need a reason to smile.
This year, we want Christmas to be extra special for the children of Mindanao. We will provide a gift backpack containing a toy, crayons, colouring books, a t-shirt, soap, a bed sheet, towel, toothbrush, shampoo, pens, notebooks and noodles to over 4,000 children.
