One year, Aid Distribution International delivered 3,160 Christmas Care packs to children in Laos whose families struggle with poverty.
Each pack contained two storybooks, school supplies, a school uniform, sweets, toiletries and a toy. The pack also included a kilogram of sugar for the children to give their parents to make a special Christmas treat.
Children have little in the way of gifts, as most of the family income is spent on putting food on the table. For children in Laos to receive such a gift, it is like a miracle.
