For the second year in a row the 2011 floods and rains caused massive disruption in Pakistan. According to news reports this flood claimed more than 200 lives by early September. Crops were destroyed, livestock drowned, and schools and hospitals smashed and ruined. Thousands of people were stranded and more than four million acres of cropland were damaged and made unproductive by the deluge.
In October and December 2011, Aid Distribution International through its contacts and partners, arranged the distribution of food packs, warm clothes and 3500 blankets in Sindh and Punjab provinces.
