ADI and partners made a significant investment in ministry in Plateau state, northern Nigeria, where attacks and bombings by have brought devastation to several communities. We continued our partnership with Stephen Centre International, providing support for the Special Children’s Centre and microenterprise programs which train and equip widows in sewing, tailoring, computing and grain-grinding.
Nigeria was the focus for our 2012 Christmas Care campaign, a project aimed at blessing children affected by violence. Our goal was to distribute over 2400 Christmas Care packs containing school supplies, snacks and a toy to children who bear physical or emotional scars. “This is probably the first time that some of the children in the villages will be receiving such a gift … from abroad,” said the Nigeria project coordinator.
